Iron Age Dragonesque brooch
A design that originates from the 2nd century AD and is Romano British in character.
The bronze and enamel original is a fine example of the double headed ‘dragon’ brooch. which was found at Milking Gap, Hadrian’s Wall.
Bronze finish. Length 52mm. Safety pin fixing on back. Presented in gift box.
The original piece can be found in the Newcastle Museum of Antiquities.
