Thanks to Andy Paciorek for writing the following about the striking logo:
"In designing a logo befitting of the Folk Horror Revival, there were a number of potential symbols and motifs that could suit the group but it had to be something natural, but something that spoke of ancient times but also remains relevant today.
What could be more fitting than the Sun? Symbol and source of life, death and rebirth from the moment ape men shielded their eyes to gaze up at the sun with the first seed of spiritual reverence sprouting in their mind. From the animists to the alchemist and even to the sceptical atheists of the internet age, none can doubt the power and vital importance of the sun both for its nourishing warmth and the essential process of photosynthesis.
To embody a personal empathy with the great celestial body, comes the symbol of sun with human face. The faces of radiant sun gods and goddesses from Sol to Huitzilopochtli to the Celtic Nuada as represented in the classic folk horror movie of 197, The Wicker Man.
Encompassing the majestic rays of the Sun of May and a melancholic demeanour the sun symbol represented here radiates the essence and ethereal energy of the Folk Horror Revival movement."
